About
Xelar is an electronic music project from Asturies, started in 2010. Its early work explored ambient music, minimalism, drone and field recordings, with a focus on the relationship between electronic sound and landscape. The project developed within the Asturian cultural and experimental scene and participated in projects related to LABoral Centro de Arte.
Xelar performed at Monkey Days, took part in TESLA, and presented live performances and sessions on NC248 Radio. After a period of reduced activity, Xelar returns in 2026 with new music and a new hardware live project. Its current work explores ambient and kosmische textures, motorik sequences and analogue acid, continuing the project's interest in repetition, atmosphere and electronic sound.
